COSMETIC TATTOO HISTORY

In 1902, a significant milestone was achieved in the world of cosmetic tattooing when Sutherland McDonald performed the first documented treatment. By the 1920s, the technique made its way to the US, where it was referred to as "electrically tattooing permanent blush on the face." Notably, another prominent tattoo artist, George Burchett, played a pivotal role in bringing this craft to recognition within the US during the 1930s. His pioneering spirit gave rise to many enduring cosmetic tattoo techniques that continue to encompass everything from brow, lip, and cheek to innovative forms of medical tattooing.

Over time, the world of Cosmetic Tattooing has witnessed remarkable transformations. Even the techniques have evolved significantly. In the past, tattooed eyebrows were simpler, a thin single line, quite distinct from today's intricate method.

Now:

Now, we've entered a new era with modern advancements in cosmetic tattooing - such as
pigments and techniques that replicate lip tint, eyebrows, and even hair. Additionally, there's a category known as 'Paramedical' or ‘Restorative’ cosmetic tattooing, which serves to conceal scars and aid in restoring or enhancing beauty and confidence.

The advancements in cosmetic tattooing have made the procedure safer and more effective, with the use of rotary machines offering a gentler and more comfortable experience, resulting in a more natural appearance.
